Hargrove to Bears Rumors Unconfirmed
There still haven't been any other reports of unrestricted free agent Anthony Hargrove being signed or agreeing to terms with the Bears, despite an earlier report by The Examiner to the contrary.
Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune cleared the air via Twitter:
Don't believe Twitter speculation #Bears signed Anthony Hargrove is accurate.
Meanwhile, Mike Triplett of the Times-Pic also says no signing has happened, but that both parties are in talks:
@MikeTripletttp just told our night editor that talks of #Saints' Hargrove signing are premature, he and #Bears are still in talks.
Stay tuned for further details.

yeah
seems to me that it’s just a matter of time…
reports are not saying that the Saints are trying to keep him
Pay-Loo have probably already made their best offer to Hargrove
Thumbs up, everybody...

Well...
We can do all the fancy upgrades we want (OLB, DE), but if we don’t have a decent backup when Rogers or Ellis gets tired or hurt, our defense is gonna suck.
Agree
They tried (mildly) to go after Cuellen Jenkins… so we should hope they are going to address that soon
Bring the metal....
How's Aubrayo Franklin sound?
other than hard to spell

Go after Osi
The only problem with having a "Dream Team" is when you wake up and find out it was a nightmare instead.
I know he isn't a DT, I understand that he is a DE
But, if he is available, and affordable, I still don’t see a downside. After all, Smith is looking at a high possibility of a 4 game suspension, and once he comes back from that, we could utilize Jordan in relief of Rogers or Ellis and even work him in and out of the DE spot in relief of Smith and Osi. It would be sort of like having Jenkins in a position to play Safety and Corner.

neither is Hargrove...
at least anymore. He slimmed down into the 280s to play DE.

Jenkins was a big 3-4 DE… He is a regular-sized DT in a 4-3.
He’s also listed as a DT on NFL.com.
