Saints Sign TE Tory Humphrey and CB Terrail Lambert
Earlier this morning, before signing their last remaining draft pick in Cameron Jordan, the Saints also inked deals with tight end Tory Humphrey and cornerback Terrail Lambert. Larry Holder confirms:
#Saints agree to terms with TE Tory Humphrey and CB Terraill Lambert, the team has confirmed.
Humphrey simply adds depth to the tight end position group. Hopefully, this isn't the last tight end the Saints sign, as free agent David Thomas is still without a contract and remains the biggest priority for the Saints in free agency. Lambert comes to the Saints after a stint with the Miami Dolphins.
The Saints are most certainly over the 90-player roster limit now so expect cuts to be announced sometime soon.

Please make it a priority to sign Dave Thomas ASAP.
Also, since we lost out on Cullen Jenkins, can we use that money we were going to give him and sign a capable LB to compete/start/provide depth at all 3 positions? Someone like Lofa Tatupu or Rocky McIntosh or even Ben Leber? Maybe you can get one cheap and use the savings to add Kevin Boss as well?

they’re both me. One is head on, the other is at an angle.

Supposedly Eagles are looking at Tatupu. Nice defense they are putting together, but what happens when defenses start looking at game tape from the end of last season and start shutting Vick down?

Whew......
Signing Jordan was a must with Will Smith being suspended the first 4 games. I wanna thank Cam Jordan for not being a nutjob and realizing he’s on a Championship caliber team so he can get to work asap. Also glad to see Tory on board as well. NOW COMES THE HARD PART….. SEEING WHO’S GONNA BE ON THE TEAM/FIELD VS GREEN BAY. WHACK THE PACKS!!!!!
