The Saints easily defeated the Raiders in Oakland tonight 40-20 in the third preseason game of their 2011 campaign.
The first team offense rolled early in the game with three scoring drives to start, looking dangerous and cohesive and led by a sharp Drew Brees. Running backs Mark Ingram, Joique Bell and Patrick Cobbs looked great across the board. The defense, on the other hand, got pushed around and looked sloppy again in the tackling department.
The team escaped relatively injury free with the exception of a Garrett Hartley tweaked hip, forcing the Saints to go for two twice in the second half.
