So has anyone tried his sauce. I'm curious. I'm a huge bbq sauce fan. I usually

mix two I like and add more spices. Currently I been using Stubbs, Sweet Baby Ray’s, and my old stand by Bull’s eye. I’m always looking to experiment with different sauces.

I like Stubbs and Bull’s eye, but Sweet Baby Ray’s ruined a rack of ribs for me once. Something about it just turned my stomach. I’m sticking with my KC Masterpiece. I haven’t seen this sauce in the store yet. Next time I’m out I may give it a try.

I never had a problem with Sweet Baby Ray's, but you know I'm the same way if something

makes me sick, I usually won’t give it a second chance. I do like the KC bbq sauce style more. I like the sweet, but I usually add spices to it to get that spicey sweet flavor going. Stubb’s I will cut with brown sugar or with a sweeter sauce some times.

I will have to give that a try. I guess I’m boring because I have never thought of mixing bbq sauces. What type of spices are using in your sauce mix?

garlic powder, onion powder, cajun spices(ie tony's or something similar), crushed

red peppers, black pepper, and some times tobasco. I always doctor up most store bought stuff. Pre-package stuff is catered too much to the northerners who think adding seasoning is salt and pepper and when they want to get crazy they add paprika. Sorry tasteless Souls they are from the North.

HA! Aint that the truth.

KC Masterpiece

That’s my brand. I especially like the Hickory and Brown Sugar flavor.

But I’d give Joe’s a try once anyway.

I'll add

Some butter and spices esp. cayenne to it, just to wake up the palate. However if I’m gonna used garlic n onion, it won’t be powered.

Only thing I add to my bbq sauce is ribs.

Most of that runs off with the Juice during cooking.

I Shear my Ribs then throw them on the top rack and smoke them with Hickory wood. The sauce goes in to finish them off.

Do you use any dry rub at all? I rub mine down with spicy cajun mustard, cayenne and brown sugar. Wrap them tight with foil. I let them cook for about an hour then I open them up and smoke them for roughly 2 more hours before I put any sauce on them. I let the ribs sit with the sauce for about ten minutes before I take them off the pit. Voila! Thats all folks.

The only thing I'll use foil for

is when I cook some Veggies on the pit.

I know I know…..When the brown sugar first starts cooking it needs the foil until it binds to the ribs. I dont use it for much else.

Stubbs is ok.

Sweet Baby Ray’s is better (depends on the kind, of course).

Cattleman’s is the best!

Really Joe Horn?

You think opening a BBQ sauce company is the best place to invest your money? No wonder so many athletes go broke. Ask Deuce McAllister, Raghib Ismail, Eric Dickerson, Mike Vick, or any of the hundreds of bankrupt stars about investing in your buddy’s business. It ain’t easy my friend.

Don't forget Ricky Jackson!

He’s got some smoke sausage on the market. Maybe he and Joe should get together?

Just ask George Foreman. Oh wait, nevermind.

That was an endorsement. George never sank any of his own money into the grill company that I remember. If that’s what this is and people are paying Joe Horn to just use his name, the good on him. If he is putting money into a business or trying to run this thing, then the man needs a good financial adviser.

You are correct. Foreman signed a deal with Russell Hobbs Inc to become the spokesman for their fat-reducing grill.

Something that will make any normal human being blanch…in 1999 Salton Inc paid George Foreman 137 MILLION dollars to buy out the rights to his name for the grill.

Saw him on WWL

He was cooking ribs indoors. Was smoking Eric Paulson out. Thought they were gonna have to call the fire department.

I dont think Eric needs any help getting smoked out. Have you seen his eyes in the morning? He’s worse than me.
