WWL-TV Sports
Payton said team is comfortable with Jo-Lonn Dunbar, who is Vilma's backup. Dunbar has been in system several seasons.

Mike Triplett
Obviously bad news for if Vilma can't play, though he does have an experienced back-up in Jo-Lonn Dunbar, who played well vs. Bears.

WWL-TV Sports
HC Payton said Vilma didn't have a setback. Said Vilma's recovery didn't progress as quickly as originally thought it would.

Mike Triplett
The full injury report: Marques Colston and Garrett Hartley are out; Vilma doubtful, Porter questionable, everyone else probable.

Jeff Duncan
If Vilma can't go, Jo-Lonn Dunbar would start at MLB. Scott Shanle & Will Herring would probably start outside.

WWL-TV Sports
. Nope. Different positions. Prob. more 4-3 instead of 3-4 this week I'd imagine. Smith's return will likely affect Charleston.

WWL-TV Sports
Dunbar on Vilma: "This guy has been immortal for, like, three years. And this guy, when he hurts something, he still plays. "

WWL-TV Sports
Dunbar on Vilma: "It’s definitely a surprise if he doesn’t play, but I’m looking forward to him being out there & trying to run this thing."

WWL-TV Sports
. I'd say probably a no-go. It's hard to go from DNP/Doubtful to playing. Though Vilma could certainly be the guy to do it.

I need to adjust my first prediction from 750+ yards total offense to 900+ due to Ben Tate racking up 200+ yards rushing. :(

herring is not seeing much of the field..

or so i hope.. casillas was limited but is still a go.. wilson will get his snaps..
i expect the front 3 or 4 or even 5 to get on that back-filed and return the favors to their nice OLs right back to their knees.. there will be a fight or two.. this zone blocking pi$$es a lot of DLs off..

I hope your right because....

Herring is awful. He’s blown out of the play so much its almost useless putting him in the game.

In pre-season we gave the Texans our vanilla game.

Now it’s time for a rediculous

triple flavor banana boat sundae with all the trimmings (or, as they say in the Big Easy – “dressed!”).

I just have a feeling GW is going to let the dogs out early and often. It will not be as easy as mugging Cutler was but I’m hoping for big things out of our defense.
