What decline?

As I'm sure you're all aware, for the past year or so, many people have been claiming that Drew Brees is in decline. Last season, he threw for over 4000 yards and 33 touchdowns, but he threw an alarming 22 interceptions. After the playoff loss to Seattle, people began to post fanposts on CSC and multiple other blogs saying that the Saints front office should be wary of giving Brees a big contract extension, one blogger I remember even saying we should have spent our 1st pick in the draft on a QB. The thing about this that really ticked me off was that Drew Brees led us to the Super Bowl just 1 year before this! Now this year, in the first 3 games Drew Brees has thrown for 1059 yards, 9 TD's and only 2 interceptions, with and average of 353 YPG and 3 TD's per game. Now, if he could keep this up for the whole season, he would have 5648 yards, breaking Dan Marino's record by more than 500 yards, and a whopping 48 TD's, next to only 11 interceptions. That doesn't sound like much of a decline to me. Also, I have 2 predictions for Stu. Drew Brees goes for 4500+ yards passing this season, less than 15 interceptions, and the Saints win at least 12 games.
