2011 Saints Odds and Ends: How Will They Perform?

Below is a list of all prop bets available for the Saints players this season. Basically, the odds makers have chosen statistical milestones for popular players and it's up to the bettor to determine whether they will surpass those milestones or not.

Those readers who like to put their money where their mouth is might find this information valuable. Those that don't, myself included, still may find it interesting to learn just where the Saints stand in the eyes of the odds makers. All information is courtesy bodog.com.

Which odds look good to you and which are sucker bets? Do any of these surprise you? Where would you put your money? Personally, I'd take the under on Marques Colston reaching 1,000 receiving yards.

Under on Brees’ yards. Not touching any of the others- too close.

Right on!

With emphasis on the running game, I think Brees comes in just over 4K. Of course that all depends on how the D holds up!

Really like the over for Sedrick Ellis's sacks

I think he will surpass last years total and end up with 7 or 8 now that he’s next to a solid NT.

Over on Devery....

Devery is a special WR. Payton know this which is why he’s still on the team. Not the most reliable hands but I believe if the ball is delivered right, Devery is the man. With Colston and Moore not at 100%, this is Devery’s year. Just gotta hope the protection is there for Brees and it should be w/2 FBs. As for Brees… we know his numbers will be high but how high depends on our running game so I’m not touching the over/under on 4500 passing yards.

Over on Devery????

Don’t know that I agree with this one. I think Meachem is the special guy that finally breaks out this year. I think this is the year Devery slides down the depth chart.

I’d definitely take the over on Graham TD’s, and probably on yards, as well. I think he’ll be halfway there by the end of September.

Meachem is gimpy too....

I think having 3 “STARTING” WRs not at 100% is the reason the Saints got Billings back. Colston & Meachem might be at 80% come Thursday and Lance with the groin issue is a headache. I want all 4 to have a 1000 yd season but one thing OUR history shows us is anyone is capable of shinning and alot of times its the one we least expect. Devery is long overdue.

Odd as it sounds, I'm kind of hoping for "under" on Brees's passing yards.

So long as it means we have a reliable running game and are spending most fourth quarters running the clock out.

Countdown to kickoff

These are the two worst football days of the year – the last two days until kickoff. These days feel like they’re each 48 hours long. The anticipation has reached a fever pitch. Questions about how the team will perform Thursday night dominate my mind.

Will they get blown up like they did against the Colts in 2007? No, because our pass defense is much, much better than it was then.

Will the Saints surprisingly dominate the Packers? Highly unlikely, but a guy can dream can’t he?

Will it be a close game that goes down to the wire and raise my blood pressure to critical mass? Probably.

Hey Dave. Can we get the “CSC countdown to kickoff meter” back up? I don’t see it on the front page anymore. This will make the next two days even more excruciating as I stare at it without blinking until it finally reads 0.00.00.00.

Over on Brees passing yards / Over on Graham TD's

I say Brees will pass more than 4500 yards. Yes the Saints will run the ball more effectively, but Da Man will still be Brees. Expect a lot of points!

I say Graham will be the No. 1 Tight End in the NFL this season. 10+ TD’s.

Over on Ingram TDs

Based on preseason, I think when we get close to the goal line, Ingram is getting the ball

I would take

Brees Int-under
Ingram rush yards-under
PT rush yards-over
Colston yards/TDs-over
Graham-over on both

Those are the ones that I’d put money on.

Now that we have a 2011 season let's win the Superbowl!

Under on Brees’ interceptions. Over on everything else. I’m always optimistic 48 hours before opening kickoff.

by Drew-Dat on Sep 6, 2011 8:08 PM CDT reply actions

Over on Graham - yards

I think the TD’s are iffy on any one player, because we have so many weapons. I think they ALL are capable of being over, and just as capable of being under.

Possibly PT over on rushing yards. PT will still get his share of carries and you only need to average 38 yards a game to hit 600, barring injury.
