S Roman Harper's Locker Room Interview 1/11/12
"I did a little bit today. I'm resting up, getting a little bit better, getting healthier every day. So I feel good about this weekend. ... I'm moving around well," said Harper.
Sounds like earlier reports of a high ankle sprain may not be correct. Or, Payton may have instructed him to blow smoke up our a___. Anyone's guess.

roman harper won't play Saturday
Having the ball is better than not having the ball. And if you punt,
not only does it mean you don't have the ball anymore—
it means you didn't score, which sucks.
why do you say that?
"We've established the run; we've established the pass. Now all we have to establish is another championship!"
"Some say the glass is half empty;
Some say the glass is half full.
I say- 'are you going to finish that beer'?"

He's the guy that normally covers the TE for you guys.
If he has ankle probs, that’s sort of a questionable thing when you’re going up against a TE that can run a 4.38…
What do you do?
Healthy back up? Or semi-injured vet?

Not really
He’s the guy that comes on blitzes every other play. He’s solid in run support, but as far as pass coverage, he’s one of the worst on the team. Harper being out may hurt the run defense, but it absolutely will not hurt our ability to cover the TE.
"I want to hand this trophy to the MVP of the Super Bowl -- and the MVP of the entire league.''
-- Saints coach Sean Payton, handing the Vince Lombardi Trophy to Drew Brees after Super Bowl 44.
Hmm...
That’s not what the media has been saying so I thought I would get some clarification.

If I’m not mistaken, Harper set the record this year for most sacks by a defensive back this year. If they are saying he is is a cover safety, then I hope your coaching staff does as little research as the media does.

Whatever you say prick….
I find it funny that nobody on this board has anything real to say about football… Some of you all are a bunch of classless low lifes…
There are some good people on this board but crap like this doesn’t belong.

For the record…I like Bon Jovi. And I’d miss California…I like my tv shows and movies.
-Lombardi was wrong...it's the internet, not fatigue that makes cowards of us all. But then again, what do you expect. Not like the guy could see the future.
Are you willing to offer...
That the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast could walk out into the ocean never to return to land? Can we meet in the middle?
I like Hamburgers!
Uh oh...better put an Asterisk on it.
I see your middle ground Grumps...and happily accept.

And, that!
It’s still amazing to me that someone can be respected by everybody but his own team’s fans. That seems to have, finally, died down. Thank god.
I think that vid should be posted separately on the home page but that’s just me.
I love him.
That cannot be Roman Harper!
I saw three interceptions by someone wearing a #41 jersey with the name “Harper” on the back, including a pick six.
This just cannot be! Must be an alternate universe!
OH! but not included in that video was his interception 2 years ago where Sam Bradford chased him down from behind….

I don't know if I'm prepared to go that far, Hans.
But I’m willing to rule him out for Sunday.
This isn't about rules, it's about manners. Now there's no rule that says that I cant come over here and fart on your entree. But I don't do it. Why? Because it's not good manners.

He’s saying, he doesn’t want to make a guess on Harper’s health for Saturday, but he DEFINITELY won’t play on Sunday. I think it was a joke.

I agree Satch, anyone's guess.
But, you don’t really go back into a game after a high ankle sprain usually. Or even a lower ankle sprain that is severe or moderate. Especially in week 17 with a lead at home vs Detroit. I think he’ll play, but we’ll see and it is hard to determine if it will affect him.
I am glad to know Queddus is playing well and they have a lot of confidence in him. I also have confidence in a nickel that has Prob in there instead of Harper. Our offense will get the lead, then we’ll take it fom there. They know their assignment- get the lead from the opening possession, hopefully. When you think about it, since SF doesn’t have a gazillion great WRS and depends on the run, we can get by a lot of plays with, say, Martez Wilson or Casillas taking Harper’s place in a modified nickel or whatever..
Contrary to most, I support Payton being tight lipped and misleading about injuries. Despite the fact that I want to know how our players are doing, I would rather have an inexperienced SF team guessing about our status.

why doesn’t this show up on the FanShots page??? It should!
Are you using your new app thingy? The one for the iPhone is not my favorite. Just wondering if it was bug-gy or something.

My buddy at work says the app for the I-phone keeps crashing on him.
He doesn’t use it anymore…was working before they upgraded it, so must still have plenty of bugs in it. Please let us know how the one for the android is working Dan. May buy one soon.

It’s not bad… there are a few features that would make it great, but it works.
(If you’re going to get a contract, I recommend waiting until your favorite cell carrier has an Android 4.0 phone that you like.)
no… i’m on a pc right now. (you can tell because it doesn’t say “Android App” next to the UP button.
most of the time, DAve’s FanShots ONLY show up on the homepage (and not on the FanShot page)… This is Satch’s fanshot, and it too is only showing up on the homepage.
-
And, while we’re at it… The Android app crashes upon opening (i always send a report)… but then the app actually runs.
I've mentioned this before
But I severely sprained my ankle early last year…turned green, Xrays, a boot, everything. It was so amazingly painful. I don’t know how bad his is or if he has one at all but even with shots and pills I don’t understand how someone could put pressure on it let alone play football. Hope it’s nothing.

in our SB, Freeney had a bum ankle, and they wrapped it tight, pumped it with cortisone, I'm sure
and he was only able to play in the first half…

I remember that
The injuries these guys play on are crazy even with all the shots and stuff. My ankle was so swollen you couldn’t see my ankle bone. To think about running….oh hellllll no.

Like I said before...
He just has a really bad mosquito bite and Payton told him to play it up…
