Jeff was right

Just going to go ahead and get this out of the way now. Great game. Crappy outcome. You can say all you want about the five GD turnovers, but we had this. The D had the chance to win this game, and they couldn't get it done. Jeff was right. Sure, the offense put them in a crap position time and again, but when it came time to count the chips, they let us down. It's not right, and it's not fair, but you have to close this game out, fellas. That's why you get paid the big bucks. Jeff, you were right, dude. For all the crap I gave you throughout the season, our defense is what got us in the end. "Playing with the lead" and being "opportunistic" amounted to crap all. I'm not too proud to say that you were right, man.

It's terrible, and it hurts. But remember the good things you have in your life today, guys. Family, friends, a job. Whatever is good in your life, focus on that today. Have a beer. Raise your glass to Drew and what he did this year. Start thinking about the draft. Do that housework you've been putting off every Sunday. The end of the world came, and we will survive it, just like always. I'm going to put my Saints hat on backwards and punch the first guy I can find with the last name Davis. Then I'm going to play with my dog, kiss my girlfriend, and go on with my life. At least Tebow got beat.

Amen, brother. Only being a teenager and can’t have a beer and worry about a job but I see your point. Already looking forward to the offseason. Cheers to a great season we had and many good years to come. Who Dat

Jeff was right to be concerned.

We all were, when we dared think the worse. And how many times did this defense make us cringe or feel such dread of impending doom? I know I felt just like Jeff when we went ahead but SF had the ball with a minute and something and “omg we won’t stop them” was all I could think. I also thought if this team pulls it out, I don’t deserve to be a fan because I walked out of the room and couldn’t watch what I dreaded play out true to form, and if they had pulled it off, who wants a fan that can’t take the ups and downs of a game and not just hope. Well, you can’t just hope. You have to be realistic and Jeff is and I was at that moment. Jeff was right, but I don’t expect he’s any happier than the rest of us.

(A word about the offense. Yes they turned the ball over five times and made the defense work like hell to keep us in the game and kudos to the defense for doing that, but the offense did what it had to do in the end, put up the points to go ahead and the defense, just like Seattle let us down in the end.)

No...I'm not happy...but I am proud.

We played hard…can’t expect more from our team. They left it all out on the field. We have to get better defensively…that’s true. But it doesn’t mean I’m not happy of the effort that was shown. A lot of what ifs in that game….SF proved that even in this age of pass friendly football…an intimidating form of defense can still take place.

We won another playoff game….hell…six years ago…I never though we’d ever win one again at the rate we were going. Since that time…we’ve won five including a Super Bowl.

-Lombardi was wrong...it's the internet, not fatigue that makes cowards of us all. But then again, what do you expect. Not like the guy could see the future.

Yes we all we're right

All year its been the famous saying bend but dont break. That don’t apply to the playoffs when no team wants to go home.It wasn’t fair to our offense.Poor Drew looked miserable in his press conference. Will Smith garbage,Roman Harper garbage,Scott Shanle garbage. Its time to get the defense back.I could see visions of the old days Pat Swilling ,Sam Mills, the old dome Patrol.Dam just think our offense and the old defense know one would be able to stop us.The Packers lost and the Giants should be coming to the dome.dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…..
