Per Adam Schefter:

Ex-Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo will reportedly meet with the Saints on Wednesday.
The Eagles' plans for Juan Castillo are still unclear, which could leave the Saints and Colts battling for Spags' services. Colts GM Ryan Grigson has a relationship with Spagnuolo from their time together in Philly. The Saints can offer a contending roster whereas Indy is starting over again after a 2-14 season.

I like Spagnuolo the best of the names I’ve seen brought up. Haven’t been paying much attention to the comings and goings or rumor mill, to be honest. Not a phase of the game that particularly interests me and I’m currently easing towards a brief hiatus from the sport this weekend, unless SF manages to advance. Otherwise, I doubt I’ll be watching the Super Bowl and won’t be getting into football much, until free agency gets underway.

Del Rio is another I think they should strongly consider.

A thought

With the way Spag’s Rams totally shut down Payton’s offense this year, I have to think that Spags has Payton’s highest possible respect and would be at the very top of Sean’s short list. Pay the man!!!! Get him in the building!!!!

And with a bunch of young pups, at that. Not like he’s going to have much more to work with here.

Ignore this comment

The home page keeps telling me there are 12 comments on this page, but there are only 11. So I’m adding this to see what effect it has.

You know, we don’t discuss paper doilies enough. Some of them can be quite striking.
