Good morning, Hans.
I’m not sure if I’ll be up to watching the games, but I know I’ll pop in here to see what everyone is saying. I’m still in a football funk after the loss last week. (Was it just last week?) I briefly turned on the NFL channel a couple of days ago, but realized I wasn’t ready yet. Sigh…
"It's better to burn out than fade away."
Grieving, plain and simple.
This was a hard one to get over. But, the funk and fog are easing for me.

About the Championship Game threads, Hans.
I think I can finally watch. I’ve avoided the sports channels and NFL network like a lot of people but I have a burning desire to see SF get beat by the Giants. And I’d love to see the Ravens defense have their last hoorah. So, I’ve mangaged to muster up some interest enought to watch.

yeah, and when I think about this being the last weekend of multiple games for 2011 season
I realize I’d better watch and enjoy these here games because after that…there’s a deep, dark void that college hoops, FA, and the draft can hardly begin to fill…

Ready for it all to be over...
Not because I’m bitter, well maybe a little, but because I’m ready to move on to FA, Draft, and next year. Wow, I remember when looking forward to next year had a whole other meaning.

I was telling my folks yesterday
that in past years, after praying hoping begging wishing for a playoff berth, we’d already be almost a month removed from the end of our season by this time, and now we’re bummed at just missing the NFCCG – i like the high standard of current expectations

could be a kick in the nads as well, gut or nads, bad feeling either way. I see a lot of people wanting san fran to win due to some hatred of the giants. I can’t do that, my hatred for the 9ers started while we were both in the old NFC West. I hope the golden gate burns today.

I'd always heard it was "that which doesn't kill us...
can only maim us for life."
This isn't about rules, it's about manners. Now there's no rule that says that I cant come over here and fart on your entree. But I don't do it. Why? Because it's not good manners.
might leave you in a coma
