Jim Harbaugh really IS a prick
Via PFT, so here are the key details for those who are so silly as to think your lack of a click will make ANY difference in Floriotard's income...
According to a local reporter, "Harbaugh is an 11-year-old." and "connects Harbaugh’s lack of introspection to his inability to be self-critical."
This all comes from this exchange in his post-season press conference on Monday (entire excerpt italicized since fanshots stupidly don't allow quotes)
Harbaugh was asked how he spent his time after the game. Harbaugh giggled.
"Is it just California that everybody just wants to know how you feel? Care about what you thought, what you did, how you felt, how your pinky feels. Is that just a California thing? Back where I come from, nobody really cares."
As Lowell Cohn of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat describes it, a reporter reminded Harbaugh of all the time the coach has spent in California. Cohn asked if Harbaugh wanted to answer the question.
"You demand an answer to the question?" Harbaugh said.
"I’m requesting," Cohn replied. "I would never demand from you. Share with us what you did last night if you feel comfortable doing it."
"I don’t. I don’t feel comfortable," Harbaugh said.
"Is that a California thing?" Cohn asked.
"It’s a Midwestern thing," Harbaugh responded before leaving the room to enter the offseason.
Well at least he gives us something to laugh at.

Wow…and people think Scwartz was wrong for being so upsset with him. I thought he seemed like a jerk when he wouldn’t actually listen to Payton when they shook hands after the game last week, too.

I'm sorry...I'm on Harbaugh's side
Don’t forget, these idiots come from the same stock as the idiots who will stick a microphone in the face of someone who’s just lost a child and ask “How does it feel?”
And think about it: these are sports reporters. How is “Share with us what you did last night” a reasonable question? Shouldn’t they be talking about football? About what went wrong? About how it happened? About what might have been done differently? About how the team plans to move forward? Instead of “what did you do last night?” or “how do you feel?”
And as for mainstream media people accusing others of an “inability to be self-critical”: that has more than a little of the pot-kettle flavor to it.
What! shall we curse the planets of mishap
That plotted thus our glory's overthrow?
Oh I won’t disagree with you on point. The questions were inane and imbecilic, and the “pot-kettle flavor” is extremely strong.
That said, he didn’t have to be such a prick about it.
Actually, I thought it was Cohn that was being an arrogant asshat.
Still…there’s plenty of other evidence that Harbaugh is a world-class prick. Such as the way he allows (encourages?) his kickoff team to act like a bunch of taunting 7th graders. I wanted to shoot the television.

Oh no kidding. When that jackass started blowing kisses at the Saints sideline after Sproles’ fumble, I was royally pissed off. Even if the Saints still didn’t really deserve to win, the 49ers deserved to lose just for that crap alone.
He might be is a prick, but if you (or anyone) asked me how I felt after we lost to the Niners… I’d look at you like you were an idiot and ask you “how the f*** do you think I feel?”
They (all media) ask overly obvious questions about overly personal issues so they can get a soundbite to over-analyze the next day on TV and tair the person down even more – aka kick a man while he’s down.
I have ZERO sympathy for the scumbags in the media (and their producers who push them to do it), and no coach/player should be judged by their words towards them.
On the other hand… how coaches act towards other coaches… especially ones they just beat or ones that are longer tenured and have more winning experience than they do… that’s what shows your character, or lack thereof.
i agree dan

I dislike him immensely. You will see more examples of this wacko personality
his brother John seems to be different. It really irked me, after that Schwartz incident, when he attributed the whole thing to the fact that he shook Schwartz’s hand too hard. Hos interview was childish. No, that wasn’t it it wasn’t the handsahake- it was the attitude and lack of sportsmanship. Just like after the Saints game he had an attitude with Payton.
And as far as the media, these coaches should be thanful to the media. Without them, no one in the world would know who Harbaugh or any other coach is and would know nothing about them and they wouldn’t make a tenth of the money they make.
"We've established the run; we've established the pass. Now all we have to establish is another championship!" (And a Defense!)
"Some say the glass is half empty;
Some say the glass is half full.
I say- 'are you going to finish that beer'?"
I've learned so much from my mistakes...I'm thinking of making a few more!"
Well...

Each owe their livings to the other. Its a little symbiotic, like a remora stuck to a shark’s crotch.
This isn't about rules, it's about manners. Now there's no rule that says that I cant come over here and fart on your entree. But I don't do it. Why? Because it's not good manners.
this should be someone's signature line...

Yes, but they do have a weak spot...

Unnecessarey hostility.
That sould be in the NFL rulebook. NO! I’m kidding.
But, this is how he comes off. He’s insistent that it’s someone else’s fault that he can’t make himself go through the normal post game activities like shaking hands in a polite way, speaking to the media and answering dumb questions from people who ask these sorts of questions of all coaches not just those in California. It’s not a California thing but he wanted to mock Calfornia’s rep for being a “feely” place. Doesn’t apply here. Media behaves this way nationwide to all teams and all coaches.
