Congrats Saints
First off, congrats to the New Orleans Saints and the fans. Although I'm disappointed my Lions season is over, I'm happy we made it this far. You guys beat us. Now if you can, please go win the Super Bowl so I can at least have a sweet 'what if' fantasy. Good luck the rest of the way. See you next year in the NFC Championship.
Also, if you could trade us Darren Sproles, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.
Your team will be fine for the next, oh 8-10 years. Stafford is a teriffic QB, and Megatron may be the most talented receiver ever to play. Draft a good RB, and you’ll be pushing GB for the division title every year.
Thank you broseph.
I know it won’t make you feel much better, but I was scared out of my mind for about 90% of that game. Your team is scary good (well, maybe not on defense, but we’re not ones to talk). You have a very enjoyable decade of success coming up.
Thanks
Your Lions played hard and were very impressive. I think they’ll really challenge the Packers next season. They scared the s*** outta me well into the 4th quarter. I was having Seattle flashbacks throughout the 1st half. With a little help in the secondary and on the running game, the Lions will be unstoppable.

Thank you for the congratulations...you've got a good team.
Although I admit to be terribly and incredibly disappointed in some of your fans over on the forums there atm wishing constant harm on Brees….not cool. Especially after a good hard fought game.
-Lombardi was wrong...it's the internet, not fatigue that makes cowards of us all. But then again, what do you expect. Not like the guy could see the future.
I know what you mean
Just remember that this was the first year in over a decade in the playoffs and we lost in the first round. They are really emotional right now. They will calm down.
Congrats on a great win. I wish our secondary was just a little bit better and maybe just average tackling but that’s another thing altogether. If there is any team in the NFC I don’t mind winning the super bowl its the Saints so do work.

Thanks, great game, competative team
no dumb PF’s this time, so they have the ability to learn from mistakes. U guys need a secondary though. Good Luck.

You’re a classy Lions fan. Wish your Lions the best next season until we meet again in the playoff! And if you know this Lions fan that make this comment, slap his azs for me. He’s a moron and make y’all Lions fan look bad!

"We, in our building, didn't feel like we needed to have Reggie Bush to have a successful offense. We've had lots of games over the last five years where Reggie was unavailable. And yet, we've been able to move the ball, score points and win games at the same rate as when we did have Reggie." -- Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis
Thanks Leonuro
I don’t particularly like playing your team as they tend to give me a heart attack but it’s always nice to have you visit.
Thank you Leonuro
Hopin’ the best for the Lions next season.
If Darren Sproles leaves NO, I think there might be a minimum one-man-riot. I’ll riot. There, I said it.

You can't have Sproles . . .
But, Barry Sanders Jr just declared for Stanford. You could snag him in 4 years ;)
Stupid people are like slinkies. They're not really useful for anything, but it's still fun to watch them tumble down stairs.
Thanks much, man.
You guys make some good pics in the off season and “one and done” will be a thing of the past.
Early last year I had a post saying that if the Saints didn’t win the Super Bowl I hoped it would be the Lions because we’ve been there and done that in the down years. Your future looks bright. Stafford is a time bomb waiting to go off in the pros.

if you could trade us Darren Sproles, I’d appreciate it.
And 31 other teams are saying the same thing!
I haven’t officially thanked San Diego and A. J. Smith. Glad SD kept him on another year too. Who do we get from them this offseason?

They have some decent LBs
but I can’t even think of one DE on that team. Now I have to go look it up, dammit…
Takeo Spikes is decent at LB. Shaun Phillips is a very underrated LB in my opinion.
Their DEs don’t really jump out at you. Even after looking up the depth chart, there’s not a lot on their team at that position that I really covet.
I like Ryan Matthews
He’d make a great 5th string back . . . or practice squad.

Thank you, Leon
good luck in the offseason and good luck until we meet in the playoffs again
and would you trade us Calvin Johnson, please? We might give you Mark Ingram for him…
Having the ball is better than not having the ball. And if you punt,
not only does it mean you don't have the ball anymore—
it means you didn't score, which sucks.

Wish the officiating hadn’t been so bad, but at least that gives the less enlightened in the Lions fan base something to rub on their wounds.
Stafford is a monster. We’ve all known how good Calvin is for awhile now, but with Stafford finally healthy, that duo is just out of control. Stafford having seasons like this at his age is just ridiculous. The idea that that kid can actually get better is pretty scary. With a good draft, and a healthy team next year, Detroit could easily make a deep playoff run.
Oh seriously. The officiating was horrid. There were a TON of bad spots, both for the Lions AND at least one very questionable one for us, maybe a few more. There were a ton of missed holding calls and missed DPI and OPI calls (on both teams) and plenty of times people wanted a personal foul and didn’t get it. Of course, most of those actually should not have been called, but there was that Suh tackle on Ivory where he flipped him over and drove him into the ground that I still can’t believe wasn’t a 15 yarder. Oh well.
And then of course the bad whistle was a really bad call. Of course, that fumble was exactly as much a fumble as Jake Locker’s “incomplete pass”. Drew had that ball under exactly as much control as Locker did when his arm was going forward, so either both should have been incomplete passes or both should have been fumbles. Yet another excuse to gripe about the horrid officiating all year long… grrrr. Oh well. Can’t change any of it now.
But one lost touchdown would not have changed the game THAT substantially. It might have saved the bookies a lot of money, but frankly I’m not in the least bit concerned about the bookies. And I said before that we were overdue for a horridly officiated game in our favor. The worst call of the game did go in our favor, so I guess that we’re no longer due. Now instead we’re horridly overdue for a correctly officiated game in nobody’s favor. Hopefully we’ll get one next week.
Thanks for being objective
Though to be fair one touchdown would have made a HUGE difference in the game. We would have been up 21 to 7 and in the fourth quarter if everything else was the same we would have been up 28-24. That makes a difference in how we play. Also that first pick that Staff threw he probably wouldn’t have attempted had he been down 3 instead of 10. See what I mean?

2-15-DEN 44(14:36) (Shotgun) K.Moreno up the middle to DEN 47 for 3 yards (N.Suh). FUMBLES (N.Suh), RECOVERED by DET-N.Suh at DEN 47. N.Suh to DEN 47 for no gain (K.Moreno). FUMBLES (K.Moreno), recovered by DET-C.Houston at DEN 47. C.Houston to DEN 47 for no gain (O.Franklin). Denver challenged the fumble ruling, and the play was REVERSED. (Shotgun) K.Moreno up the middle to DEN 49 for 5 yards (S.Tulloch).
The game might have gone completely differently… or it might have been exactly the same. Frankly I think it’s likely the halftime score would have been 21-14 instead, because the lack of “lost time” during the Lions failing to score off the fumble would have given the Saint a LOT more time to drive down for what would have become their second TD in the first half (instead of the FG because they ran out of time).
So after the break, when they tie it up (instead of take the lead) on the fourth play of the second half, it’s now technically anybody’s ballgame, and the Saints aren’t leading by three. Except that the ability (or lack thereof) of teams to make halftime adjustments would still have come into play. The Saints did make those adjustments, and the Lions didn’t. They didn’t when they led by 4, why would three extra points of lead have made any difference at all in their ability to make those necessary adjustments? So it’s entirely possible that even the bookies wouldn’t have mattered, as if things did not substantially change afterward — and it doesn’t appear that your coaches yet have mastered the playoff-game halftime adjustment, though I’m not about to say they can’t learn to do so in the near future — then even the bookies might not have been helped, as the final score then would have been 49 to 35.
So, this is nofear, Leonuro after reconstructive surgery...
May I wish you a worse year next year ‘cause I don’t wanna see you in the playoffs. Give me the Pack of the Bears any time soon….now, I just want to make sure here. That’s a compliment, right? Back-handed, maybe, but a true compliment.
I guess a fine line between sarcasm and bad mannered compliments so, just in case,
Good luck next year. :~)
I got it and thanks
