Dustin Bradford
New head coach, same exact team.
The Denver Broncos lead the New Orleans Saints by a comfortable ten point lead at the half of tonight's Sunday Night Football matchup at Mile High.
Unfortunately, the mere presence of interim head coach Joe Vitt isn't enough to completely transform the Saints team we've seen the first six games of the 2012 season. They look exactly the same. Terrible defense, faltering offense.
Here's what my notes say:
- Offense is 0-5 on third down.
- Key dropped passes by Devery and Lance.
- Offensive line not giving Drew enough time.
- Poor coverage by the secondary.
- Horrid tackling.
I'm pretty sure your notes match closely with mine. Honestly, it could be worse. The Saints had the benefit of recovering a McGahee fumble, allowing them to get on the board.
Here are the official stats for the first half.
