I mean, Dempsey kicked a 63-yarder in 1970! That is equivalent to kicking a 70-yarder in 2012 (if you raise the standard by 1 yard every 6 years).
To top if off, Dempsey kicked it in thick, wet air below sea level. If this was in Denver Dempsey would have made it from 67 or 68.
I also find it hard to believe that no one broke this record. I live to see the day it happens.
