My, how fortunes change quickly in the NFL. Saints CB Patrick Robinson snatched an INT from Colin Kaepernick, and the Saints looked likely to take a 10-point lead into the half, when Drew Brees threw a 50-yard INT return for a TD to 49ers LB Navarro Bowman allowing the Niners to shockingly tie the game at 14.
Marques Colston brought in a 10-yard touchdown reception to set a new Saints team record of 56 career touchdowns, and the rushing game has not looked as pathetic as it could, but still leaves much to be desired. Darren Sproles has been mostly a non-factor in his first action in almost a month.
On the defensive end, things have looked better as they held the 49ers to under 200 yards! Kaepernick's 7 yard TD run is their only offensive score of the half, and they haven't gotten much going beyond that.
Big time Special Teams points go to Rafael Bush for recovering Ted Ginn's fumbled punt, which set up Colston's score. That's a little something from each phase of the game for a full team effort - c'mon Saints!!
Keep Faith and Hope alive, folks!! I know the Niners get the ball to start the second half, but we can do it!!
