An impressive record that started in Week 6 of the 2009 season has sadly come to an end.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees failed to throw a touchdown pass in his teams 23-13 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night, ending his NFL-record streak of 54 games in a row. The streak started in Week of the 2009 season against the NY Giants.

Brees broke the old record of 47 straight games originally set by Johnny Unitas when he threw a 40-yard touchdown strike to Devery Henderson in the Saints October 7th game against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday Night Football.

Making matters worse, Brees threw five interceptions against the Falcons tonight, a career high.
