I know this isn't football related but....

I just wanted to talk about the recent chain of events that led to the horrible deaths of so many innocent lives. First of all, I understand that this is not football related, and if it is removed, I totally understand, this is after all a football blog. So if you think for some reason I will think ill of you if you do, don't, like I said, I understand. But in being a football blog, we are also all humans that have been affected by the recent tragedies and I kinda would like to create this post for us to be able to have some sort of an outlet to pour our emotions. We are all humans as well as Saints fans, and as humans, this has struck a chord with many of us. especially those of us that have little children. I have a 6yo and I know that after this, I kinda look at her in a different light. No, I wont get her the Ipad she wants for Christmas, but the next time she is acting up, I might give her a little lee way. I am upset because it was little ones that were taken. I know that the VT killings was, as far as death toll goes, much worse, but I think that this has been made worse by the fact that little children were the victims. Innocent lives with much of their own lives still ahead of them. Children who will not be able to open the Christmas presents that were probably already starting to pile up under the tree. Parents who have to look at those presents and know they will not be able to see the eyes of their own children light up with the amazement of what Santa had brought, for these little ones were still innocent enough to believe in Santa. As a nation, our hearts go out to these families and prayers to those affected, that they might be able to find some comfort in some way to be able to cope. In our hurried lives, maybe we should take our little ones, or even our big ones into our arms and tell them we love them one more time, because it may be the last time they hear those words. So if you have anything to say, please do so, maybe we can help each other understand what it is, and somehow help each other out in the healing.
