Off topic question:

What is the “Delocated” ad I keep seeing all over this page? And how do I get rid of it?

To answer your question

I’ve seen the show before and it is pretty stupid and unwatchable. It is about people being put in a witness protection program. They won’t show their faces and they use voice changers on their voices. It’s a little hard to watch.

I guess I can go anywhere I want. If only I knew where to go-Layne Staley

Doesn’t sound like anything I would watch.

by SaintsFan-KS on Feb 2, 2012 11:07 AM CST up reply actions

Yeah, it does creep me right the F out. The Dave better be getting a big chunk of SB Nation’s advertising cash, because not only do these ads make me less likely to watch the show they are advertising, but they make me less likely to visit a website that is showing the ads.

Switch browsers to Firefox...

and install their “Adblock Plus” plug in. It’s all free and will give you much cleaner web browsing without all of the annoying ads. That’s what I use and I’ve never seen this ad you all are referring to.

OMG! I just loaded this page by using Internet Explorer and now see it. Pretty ridiculous.

All of you Internet Explorer users would be much happier after switching to Firefox or another browser that has the free adblock plug in.

I've got Firefox...

and like some of the Ads. This one is a little silly and may be objectionable, to some but it pays the bills I guess. Just gave a way to minimize it. The ctrl alt + also helps enlarge the print for those of us who have trouble with smaller print. Myself I just ignore what I don’t like and enjoy what I do, so don’t need the Adblock app, but thanks for the info. Knew it was available, just never searched for it.

you can reverse it...

I'm considering paying you for that suggestion. I was scared to come here at work out of fear of someone seeing a guy in underwear on my computer.

You can exclude certain ads (or sites) that you do want to support (or see their ads) and block the rest. Or there are settings to even allow “some” advertising.

It’s a very useful tool. Even if turned off, every firefox user should have it installed.
