No with all the recent reconstructing of contracts and extensions that we all hope are leading to the signing of brees. There are a few more players on the roster that probably need to have their deals reworked or the could be gone. I'm not 100% sure on all the salary cap figures but these are the players that i have been reading that have high salary cap numbers. So if I am wrong, feel free to correct me. Such players as Henderson. Who i think will stay with a reworked deal. I don't know of another team that his skil set works for and i think he knows that the saints are the best team for him But he is making too much on the Salary cap next year and that needs to be fixed . Will smith's obvious reconstuction of that 10,15 mil against the cap or just releasing him, but do we have the players to do that. Bushrod should get an extension too to knock his 6.9 mil down. He is not great, but with the saints system he works. Will herring will probably be gone and his 1.7 mil. Now on to the main discussion point Sedrick Ellis. A 1st rounder who hasn't lived up to his potentional. Injuries have hurt, but still just hasn't played as well as we all would have liked. Now I fairly certain that he is due a good chuck of change next year, somewhere around 7.6 mil on the salaray cap. From his production that is too much and in order to sign brees and draft picks, that number needs to go down a lot, along with the players mentioned earlier. But Ellis has shown that he can be a run stopping force in the middle when healthy. So that is why i thought with his age, ability that he would be a potentional target to trade during the draft for more draft picks. Now in order to trade him i think that he would have to rework his deal for the new team cause no one is going to take on that much salary cap for him. But my question is if they could trade him, after he reworked a deal, who would trade for him and what kind of draft pick do you think we could get for him. Or would you rather the saints rework his deal and keep him. Now I know that we would probably get a mid to late round pick for him if we did trade him, but my Best case, stars align, senerio would be a 2nd rounder. We might have to give up a pick in the process too, but i think it could be done. I mean i have seen stranger deals. Now that being said, would you want a 2nd rounder for him in that senerio? I think that is about it. Let the debating begin.
