I keep reading all of these post and people are talking about how they should be sensible with Brees and let's make sure we don't mortgage our future by giving him too big of a contract. I read things like well we don't want to over pay the guy and then can't pay other guys....

In the best Herm Edwards impersonation I can think of HELLLOOOOOO we play to win the game!!!!!! So let's get this straight I'm under 35 and I remember the days when the Superdome had more visiting team fans in the dome than Who Dats (of course Who Dat was almost irrelevant before Brees). People we had bags over our heads! We stunk it up before Brees. As much as they want to call us Patriots South (who also stunk before Brady) we sucked before Brees. We had a couple of decent seasons with the dome patrol. Let's get this straight right now. We NEVER and I means NEVER were Super Bowl contenders every single season before Brees. Now we are Super Bowl or bust. Hell I remember just hoping to see a playoff game 1 time in the dome before I die! I think we as people tend to take for granted what we have. Brees is a Superstar and without him all the rest doesn't even matter. It doesn't matter if we pay Colston, Sproles, or Ingram. If Drew is not there all those people will become irrelevant. I know this, you know this, Mickey Loomis knows this, and Tom Benson knows this. Now please I beg you New Orleans Saints Organization,
