Holy crap, it's actual football news! And it's positive! And it has absolutely nothing to do with bounties or Drew Brees!
The Saints have signed their first pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, to a 4-year deal. Hicks was drafted in the third round out of Regina, Canada. Naturally, this news comes via Greg Bensel's Twitter account:

Glad to see the ball start rolling on Saints draft pick signings. If I remember correctly, the Saints were one of the few teams to not have signed any of their 2012 draft picks yet.
