Moving On To Week 2-Carolina Panthers In Charlotte

Saints-vs-panthers1_medium

Alright Ladies and gentlemen! Week one is over. Time to forget the ugly Monday and early Tuesday blues and get prepared to face our heated divisional rivals, the Carolina Panthers. As we all know, these 2 teams always play each other very tough. 2 things that scare me. We've won the last 4 in a row against the Panthers. Streaks don't last forever, so please let it be 5 in row to get back to 1-1. Another thing that scares me, both of these teams are 0-1, and are hungry to get back to 1-1. The question remains, who's hungrier? That remains to be seen.

Panthers lost in a match against the bucs 16-10 on Sunday. Maybe the Bucs revamped their defense? Who knows. I do know this, Cam Newton is scary good, and Steve Smith unfortunately gives us gray hairs...along with most other teams. And you have Jonathon Stewart and D Williams who are power runners and can run very well. Due to our horrific F minus defensive performance on Sunday, our D must improve drastically and be ready for these guys.

The key majors the Saints need to do to win this game:

Run the ball more, or even just a little more to help Brees and balance our offensive playcalling

Tackle tackle! Stop the run Still a killer on our D.

Make Cam uncomfortable in the pocket, don't let him run outside, or else it will be a long day.

And for the love of Christ, 12 penalties is inexcusable! Multiple false starts, holding penalties are drive killers. Stay focused please.

So the question remains, can we win this game on Sunday? Absolutely. Will we win on Sunday? That remains to be seen. If they follow the steps I've mentioned above.

Sunday will be a tough matchup, I predict a lot of scoring, we just need to outscore them. Who's going to be hungrier for the win? Hopefully it's us.

Let's get back to 1-1! Go Saints! Focus! Play Hard!
