New Orleans. The French Quarter. Boudin. Chicory coffee. Shrimp and Cajun food and music. The Big Easy. Only thing is, that's what the Kansas City Chiefs defense has been lately, The Big Easy. As in it's been ridiculously easy for other teams to score, Two games, 75 points. Two losses. A lot of unanswered questions and even more not-very-happy fans. This was supposed to be the season the Chiefs would contend, With returning starters Jamaal Charles, Eric Berry and Tony Moeaki back from year-long injuries suffered in 2011, new OC Brian Daboll, and an influx of free agent talent like Eric Winston, Kevin Boss and Stanford Routt, the Chiefs were (supposedly) primed for a playoff push.
So yeah, not a very good feeling about the Chiefs right now, but hey, two games is NOT the end of the season, right? No problem! All the Chiefs have to do is ... oh yeah, beat the Saints. On the road. A Saints team that needs a win as much as the Chiefs need a win. Right. From a feeling of "This is Our Year" to "OMG what the hell is going on out there?" this quickly hurts, but it's not over til it's over, right? The show must go on, and Sunday it will indeed continue as the Chiefs head to the Superdome to take on Drew Brees and the Saints.
Questions about the Chiefs? We have answers for your questions, though much of what we USED to think has been missing in action so far this year. Ah well, fire away and we'll do our very best to answer your questions about our "awesome" team. Besides, when your favorite team is 0-2 it's easier to look ahead and be hopeful than look back and be depressed. Sometimes you just gotta smile despite all the pain. Ask away, Saints fans, and be nice: like you we're hurting right now. Here's to a good game, may the best team win. :-)
