Saints Defense Currently Third Worst...Ever...in NFL History

Here's a scary stat you'll wish you never knew: Since 1951 only two other NFL teams have given up more yards through the first three games than the 2012 New Orleans Saints.

That's right. The Saints defense has gotten off to the third worst start in modern NFL history. Through three games, they have given up a total 1,432 yards to their opponents. That puts them behind (barely) the 2006 Houston Texans (1,451) and the 1978 Baltimore Colts (1,452).

As much as it pains me to say it, that sounds about right.
