More "bounty" hypocrisy...
I know this horse has been beaten enough, but I needed to vent. First Rex Ryan talked about hot sauce for Reggie before this Sunday's game, then Pace's comments (original link: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/09/24/calvin-pace-we-had-to-put-reggie-bush-out/). Love the last line from Florio about this being a routine play and nothing more should be made of it. Whattttt?? The entire fuss over the Saints' alleged system was supposedly about the intent, not the results (aside from allegedly lying about the system entirely). If the Jets' coach and players are talking about trying to hurt someone, why does it matter whether or not they've succeeded? I've been told all summer that my team and it's coaches were obscene, hideous monsters because of what they supposedly intended to do, even though they were almost entirely unsuccessful at injuring players (assuming that was their goal). Now, all of a sudden it's okay to openly tell the media your plan is to "put some hot sauce on him (Reggie)" and chuckle about it? Unreal.
