And for once, I'm not even talking about the Saints meltdown against Kansas City.
Yeah....that was not good at all...but just when you think that Robert Goddell couldn't do anything more (see BountyGate) to tarnish the reputation of "'Da Shield", here comes the last play of last night's MNF game between Green Bay vs. Seattle.
Bottom line...Pack got hosed because an clear interception was ruled a touchdown. And whom do you think the Saints are going to be playing next week?? Three guesses, WhoDats.
If there's any real justice in the world, Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers should meet at midfield with their fellow players and simply say, "Gentlemen...either we get real officials back, or we don't play. Period."
But, more than likely, they won't, so my bet is that the Saints picked a really, really BAD time to run into a very, very ticked off team.
Maybe they can use the controversy to get Sean Payton back, or at least reduce Joe Vitt's suspension so that he can take charge of the team and begin righting the ship. Again, probably not.
It just won't get any easier this year, doesn't it??
