This story hit the ground running this morning. Jets are looking to trade Revis! I can't verify it, but I think they are looking for a 1st round pick. Me, personally, would trade a 4th for this one yr rental. But if we could sign him on to a multi-yr deal, assuming he passes medical tests, I would be willing to give up as much as a 2nd round pick. I'm probably in the minority with that decision. But I have a couple reasons for justifying my thoughts....

The only reason I would be hesitant on the whole deal is the knee. That's the biggest issue, not money, or draft picks, or anything else. If Revis is healthy, he's worth every penny. Talking about the best CB in the NFL. Arguably the best defensive player in the NFL. Opposing #1 WR get absolutely shut out against him. The defense improves 1000x just by shutting down half the field, and the offense's #1 weapon. Also, he is still fairly young. You can almost guarantee that whoever you choose with your 2nd-7th round pick will not be as good as Revis. So if you can sign him for mulitple years, why would you hesitate giving up a pick?
