Saints News, 10/16/13: NFL Considers Adding More Thursday Games

Karl Walter

Further proof that the league office doesn't care what players think. I've yet to see an NFL player comment that Thursday night games are a good thing. The consensus is that they escalate a player's risk for injury since they are playing a game only three days removed from their previous game. In Saints news, players are relaxing and trying to get their bodies to full strength during the bye week. There's no new news from Saints camp. Mickey Loomis did an interview on the Black & Blue report today, but as we all know, he doesn't really say much or provide intriguing answers when he does those. Expect the same from today's interview.

Backstage at the Intermission - Who Dat Social Club
Nate Solder had Junior Galette hooked around the neck; if Solder hadn’t done that, Galette would have sacked Brady and the game would have been over. If Corrente’s crew had done their jobs and noticed, the touchdown would have been nullified and the Patriots would have had the ball on the 27 with five seconds left. But it wasn’t seen, and so the Saints lost. Granted, they still may have, in an even more appalling fashion. But if I had to bet the house, I’d still have bet on the Saints in that position. (Don’t tell my wife.)
