NFL Picks Week 9: Start Spreading The News

Chris Graythen

Despite a slow start, Week 8 saw the Saints return to form in their first game following the bye. What will Week 9 have in store for the Saints and the rest of the NFL? Let's take a closer look.

The New Orleans Saints take their show on the road this week to New York North Jersey, as they do a little reconnaissance work for their first of two trips to MetLife Stadium. The story lines are easy to see this week, Rob vs Rex, brother vs brother, the Saints vs former fan favorite Chris Ivory, the Saints braving the outside world, so on and so forth. All of that aside, the Jets are mediocre and the Saints should leave MetLife with a solid victory as the schedule starts to increase in difficulty in the coming weeks. Last week I had a hard time choosing a Game of the Week between DAL vs DET and NYJ vs CIN. I chose Jets vs Cincy, I chose... Poorly. On to Week 9, and wiser choices.

Last week I went 10-3, Season record 76-44

I told you so: Cardinals over Falcons!

What do I know: Eagles over Giants?

WEEK 9

Thursday, October 31st - Halloween

Bengals(6-2) at Dolphins(3-4)

Fresh off dismantling the Jets, Cincy should sink the flailing Phins.

Pick: Bengals

***

Sunday, November 3rd - Early Games

Vikings(1-6) at Cowboys(4-4)

Dallas faces an opponent they can't possibly choke the game away to, right?

Pick: Cowboys

***

Titans(3-4) at Rams(3-5)

Jeff Fischer faces his former team, which is better than his current team.

Pick: Titans

***

Chiefs(8-0) at Bills(3-5)

Kansas City is going to be 9-0, unbelievable.

Pick: Chiefs

***

Chargers(4-3) at Redskins(2-5)

Expect a fair amount of points scored in this one.

Pick: Redskins

***

Falcons(2-5) at Panthers(4-3)

Atlanta's only chance here is to pass on every down and force Cam to do the same.

Pick: Panthers

***

Saints(6-1) at Jets(4-4) - Game of the Week

This game shouldn't even be close, which unfortunately means that it'll be far too close for the Saints. Fortunately, Rob should best his brother Rex in this contest. Sean Payton's game planning and in-game management should be the difference for the Saints in this game.

Pick: Saints

***

Sunday, November 3rd - Late Games

Eagles(3-5) at Raiders(3-4)

Two things we'll see in this game: a high total of combined rushing yards, and a clash of the two most insane fan bases in the NFL.

Pick: Eagles

***

Buccaneers(0-7) at Seahawks(7-1)

Really?

Pick: Seahawks

***

Ravens(3-4) at Browns(3-5)

Baltimore gets back to .500 with a must-win in Cleveland.

Pick: Ravens

***

Steelers(2-5) at Patriots(6-2)

Usually a marquee matchup, no so much this season.

Pick: Patriots

***

Sunday Night Football

Colts(5-2) at Texans(2-5)

Houston continues to waste the top-ranked defense in the NFL as Indy rolls to victory.

Pick: Colts

***

Monday, November 4th - Monday Night Football

Bears(4-3) at Packers(5-2)

Green Bay's lethal offense continues to roll in primetime.

Pick: Packers

***

That's how I see Week 9 shaping up. Leave us your picks, comments, and insight below. Who Dat!
