We made it under the cap and the draft is coming up. I thought this would be a good time to look at a projected depth chart, to spot our needs. I left off a few first year players and some are still FA. Still I think this is a good estimation of our current depth per position. Also I left off Jericho, Nelson and Davis. They are hard to call with their limited reps.

Draw what conclusion you like from this. My opinion in order of need is this:
(ADDRESSED) CB - I think pass rush is of great importance but this position is in desperate need of talent. Greer is okay but aging, Mack looks like he can play nickle. Robinson and White are very questionable. Probably wont be a first rounder though.
1. OLB - We at least have two potential starters in place here but neither is at all a given. Wilson and Galette could be total busts as starters. We badly need a backup at the least. Shanle likely wont be back, but Casillas may work out. EDIT: Humber adds some depth, mainly a special teamer. I put him at OLB to fill in depth. Hawthorne may play some OLB also, but I like him in rotation with Vilme primarily. EDIT2: Herring being added gives us some viable depth, but still not much in the talent area. He should be a good OLB for coverage situations. This also means Shanle is even less likely to be back. I'll take him off the list but he'll probably find his way on the roster like every year. EDIT3: Butler is a nice addition. He gives us some breathing room at this position. This may not be the clear top need on D anymore, but it still needs one talented player.
2. NT - We have depth here but no true nose tackle. This position is often considered critical to the 3-4. EDIT: I took Ellis off. I don't think he'll be back unless for the minimum and I'm even doubtful there. I think Hicks could play either position, so DE or NT could solve issues on the line. Still, I think we are missing a true NT.
3. EDIT: DE SS - If we get a good CB I can live with Harper otherwise he's a liability. Likely the position wont be touched because his contract and Bush looks like he can be a backup. EDIT: I would now put DE in this spot instead of SS. Especially if Hicks must split time with Bunkley at NT.
SS still needs work but I don't think much will or can be done this year. Having good corners will help Harper show his strengths.
FS is questionable but okay. I think Jenkins can do good with the right people around him.
CB looks a lot better with Lewis. Replacing possibly our weakest link with an average to above average player is a nice gain. Improving on Greer and Lewis may cost more then we can offer.
The rest, or well, only ILB will be fine.
Its really just sad seeing we have pretty much the same people as last year after that fiasco. I'm really anxious for a good draft and maybe a free agent upgrade.
