The Louisiana product will get looked at by the Saints prior to NFL Draft

In Louisiana, people love when local prospects return to their roots and join the local teams to "bring it back home." For former Nebraska safety P.J. Smith that could be a possibility.

According to Mike Coppage of Scout.com, Smith is scheduled to visit the Saints on April 12th, as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers prior to the 2013 NFL Draft.

Smith is from River Ridge, LA. and attended John Curtis High School where he was a four year starter and fielded offers from Arkansas, Baylor, and Southern Miss. before joining the Cornhuskers.

While at Nebraska, Smith helped the Husker secondary with 165 tackles with 8 for a loss, 1.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and six interceptions(he gained a 7th in the team's Capital One Bowl appearance).

Smith is not even ranked on CBSSports.com and most likely will be headed to free agency following the NFL Draft. He could be a player the Saints hope flies under the radar providing his visit goes well.
