Matthew Stockman

Could he be traded to another team next? Rumor had it last week when Ivory visited the Jets that they may be willing to offer a mid to late round draft pick for him.

However, before Ivory signed with the Saints, he visited the Jets, and there was talk that the Jets and Saints might work out a deal in which the Saints ship Ivory to the Jets for a late-round draft pick. That is still a possibility.

Is it really possible to have too much of a good thing? That question might best be answered by the New Orleans Saints; who with their depth at the Running Back position, are rumored to be willing to deal. With Mark Ingram, Pierre Thomas, and Darren Sproles; Running Back Chris Ivory only touched the ball 42 times during the 2012 season. The Saints have been reported to be shopping Ivory for a potential draft pick or picks. The Cowboys once again are in need of another Running Back. Why not look at Chris Ivory?

Todays question about the Broncos comes from Dillon Pauls: Q: Would the Broncos consider trading their second-round pick to the Saints for Chris Ivory? It might seem desperate, but hes exactly the type of running back the Broncos are looking for, correct?

In my mind, mock drafts are purely an exercise in amusement. And just like point spreads in the regular season, they should be used for entertainment purposes only and not to be taken seriously.

Saints complete 2013 schedule dates and times announced
"The schedule comes out and it's always a little different when the season starts," said Saints Head Coach Sean Payton. "It's hard to look at the schedule now and begin to pencil in what teams are going to be like. A lot of times the game prior to when you play someone factors in. I look right away at the West Coast trips, traveling and the prime time spots. We are playing two very good divisions. When you talk about the NFC West, certainly they are the most improved division in football over the last couple of years. It's always a great time when people can get the dates and they can begin to plan, not only home games, but the away games they might want to go to."

14. New Orleans at New England, Week 6 -- First team to score 60 wins. The Saints and Patriots run the two most prolific offenses in the game today, and they might run wild in this one, given the weather should still be habitable by mid to late October in Foxboro. In addition, the matching of wits between Sean Payton and Bill Belichick is good theater because neither coach is afraid to gamble and both have supreme -- and we mean supreme -- confidence in the wisdom of their own counsel. I'll bet Brady and Belichick still aren't over that 38-17 Monday Night Football bushwhacking the Saints delivered on their heads in November 2009, the first time I remember thinking that New Orleans' season might indeed be Super Bowl bound.
