Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a Houma man after they say he took the field at the New Orleans Saints training camp in Metairie on Friday morning. David Mobley, 59, was booked with resisting arrest, battery of a police officer and remaining at a location after being forbidden, according to Col. John Fortunato, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office. Mobley walked onto the field at the Saints' training facility about 10:41 a.m. Staffers notified Sheriff's Office deputies assigned to the training camp, Fortunato said. When deputies tried to escort Mobley off the field, he became combative, Fortunato said. Deputies took him into custody after a brief struggle, Fortunato said.
