Saints News, 8/30/13: Twitter Rumor: Saints & Giants Discussing Mark Ingram Trade?

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Someone named Darren Connolly, who claims to be an "NFL Insider," is so far the only one saying a "source" tells him the Saints have placed RB Mark Ingram on the trade block and the Giants are interested. He's saying the trade would involve future draft picks and the deal has a 50/50 chance of happening. See tweets below. This Who Dat is highly skeptical of this rumor, but I thought I'd pass it along anyway. I'm a Mark Ingram fan and a big-time Bama homer, so I'd much prefer to hold on to Ingram. UPDATE: It's looking more and more likely that this rumor is completely false. The originator of the rumor isn't who he says he is.

We don't know if Tim Tebow will make the Patriots' cut down to 53 players. But we do know he has made the cut from 75 to 65. The Patriots announced 10 of the 22 roster moves they need to make before Saturday's 6 p.m. deadline to get the roster down to 53, and Tebow was not among those 10.

Eddie George questions motives of concussion plaintiffs | ProFootballTalk
"Was the motive from the players’ side finding a real solution to concussions, or is it about receiving the money? Because if you have symptoms as a player, and you’re going through issues, with the post-career, and you’re having issues with concussions, what is the money going to solve? What is $100,000 going to solve for you? Is it going to provide the care, are you going to find solutions to your problems? That’s what kind of bothered me about the whole situation: What is the real motive behind it? Because there are some players out there, quite frankly, that could be playing the game of trying to get the money," George said.
