Saints News, 9/11/13: NFL Fines Kenny Vaccaro $8k For Late Hit On Matt Ryan

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sport

We all appreciate Vaccaro's enthusiasm but he has to learn when he can and cannot hit a player. I expect this fine will help him do just that. In other news, DE Glenn Foster returned to practice today after sitting out most of last week. If Cameron Jordan and other Saints D-line players are to be believed, the return of Foster will help them be even better than in week 1. Jordan raved about him in an interview from earlier in the week. In other injury news, Tyrunn Walker, Broderick Bunkley and Isa Abdul Quddus did not participate in practice. Bunkley is expected to miss several weeks with a calf injury sustained Sunday against the Falcons.

In football, the receiver position historically has either attracted or created guys who crave attention. There are plenty of exceptions, but since they neither attract nor crave attention we often don't know who they are. One of those guys is Saints receiver Marques Colston.
