Saints News 9/18/13: Saints Place CB Patrick Robinson On Season-Ending Injured Reserve

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sport

After seeing the game Sunday and seeing medical staff wrap Robinson's leg in an air cast and wheel him away, this is no surprise. I sincerely feel for him and think he was looking much improved in Rob Ryan's new scheme. Coach Payton wouldn't go into a lot of detail on his injury other than saying he will be able to fully rehab and heal after surgery. Best wishes to Robinson for a full and speedy recovery. In other news, Mark Ingram (toe), Jahri Evans (back), and Roman Harper (knee) are among several Saints players who did not practice today.

Former Saints coach says Ingram should have scored against Tampa Bay | New Orleans
"I like what (Sean Payton) did on the goal line, taking the points off and going for it," Johnson said Tuesday during the Green Wave’s weekly news conference. "The reason why is because it was a wet game. I thought the defense was playing outstanding. If you get that one in, and I’m going to say this – that’s on Ingram to get that one in. If you get that in, then the game is over in the first half."

Cutler has to adjust to lack of pressure | ProFootballTalk
"The hardest thing right now is stepping in the pocket and not seeing ghosts because these guys are doing such a fabulous job protecting," Cutler said on his weekly radio show on ESPN 1000. "It’s just getting used to being able to take my steps, take my appropriate drop and step up and go through all my reads. It’s a good problem to have, but it’s still something I have to get used to with these new guys."
