I won't say I never liked him. He's the salvation of the franchise. Record setter. Makes others around him better. Leader of the entire team, both sides of the ball and special teams. Sets a fine example for others. Hard worker, really hard worker. Has maximized his God given talents and has worked on the rest to be the best he can in most respects on the field. Lives a clean life. Apparently is a spiritual person if not religious. Good guy all around.
Here we go:
Forces throws because he thinks he can make the play.
Rarely throws the ball away, holds it thinking he can somehow make a play out of it.
Rarely runs, for the same reason.
I hate his politics.
I hate his position regarding the US military.
Here's the big enchilada: He is not honest. Always smiling, never admits failures, rarely directly admits mistakes. Interviews with him are a waste of time, they're always the same. Why doesn't someone ask him about his mom? Then maybe we'd see something real. Oh is that none of our business? I suppose he says so and that's his right and I'm ok with that. But I can't take him seriously because I never believe he's telling us the truth, it's always whitewashed, glass is over half full, etc. Let's review: Rarely, rarely, do we learn anything about him or the team from interviews with him and maybe that's the fault of the NOLA media. Brees is up on a pedestal and if you ask him an unwelcome question you might never get a chance to ask another one. Role model? How could you possibly want to be or have young boys grow up to be this man? Not this player, sure you'd want them to play football like Drew BREEES, of course we all would. But to be a person like Drew Brees? Hell no. Maybe we should get a couple of glasses of wine into his wife and interview her about him.
He also has a weak arm and underthrows his receivers not some but most of the time.
