New Orleans Saints History: Team Moves to Airline Drive

On this day in Saints history, April 15th, 1996, the team moved into their new facility on Airline Drive in Metairie.

Eighteen years ago today, on April 15, 1996, the Saints made the move to the club's new facility at 5800 Airline Drive in Metairie. It marked the first time in team history that the organization was housed under one roof.

Prior to that the Saints' administrative offices were located inside the Louisiana Superdome, having moved there in June 1979 from their original offices on Lee Circle. Meanwhile, the team was practicing on Saints Avenue, just off David Drive in Metairie.
