Dear Mr. Cooks

May 9, 2014

Dear Mr. Cooks,

Today is the first day of the rest of your life. After years of hard work and sacrifice, you're now part of the National Football League.

More importantly, today is your first day as a member of the Who Dat Nation.

The Who Dat Nation, as vast as it is, is more than a fanbase, it is a family. Regardless of where you come from, how much money you make, or how long you've been a member of the Who Dat Nation, we look after each other and more importantly, our players.

Being a Saint is not like being a Cowboy or a Steeler. When you wear the black and gold, you're wearing it for the River Parishes, the Gulf Coast, and more importantly, the great people of the state of Louisiana.

That being said, here's three pieces of advice for you:

1) Any fast food chicken that isn't Popeye's or Brother's is not fast food chicken in New Orleans.

2) To quote what one of my friends said last night, stay away from Metro the nightclub.

3) Take in the culture of the Big Easy. If you hug her, she'll hug you back. And if you help this team win a Super Bowl you'll be a hero forever. Just ask Garrett Hartley.

Who Dat,

R. Edward Glenn Hancock
