Saints News, 6/25/14: NFL, Concussion Plaintiffs Announce Revised Settlement

The NFL and the lead attorney for thousands of players suing the league over brain damage suffered on the field have agreed to a revised settlement that does not put a limit on the NFL’s monetary obligations, ensuring that money will be available to all retired players who qualify.

The New Orleans Saints placed cornerback A.J. Davis on the team's reserve/injured list Tuesday, Davis' second transaction in as many days. The transaction does not count against the 90-man roster limit. The Saints had waived Davis on Monday when they signed undrafted free agent linebacker Todd Davis. A.J. Davis (6-foot, 183 pounds), a second-year man from Jacksonville State, spent 2013 on injured reserve after playing only game in the 2012 season with no statistics.
