Just last week Mocking the Draft had the Saints selecting cornerback Trae Waynes from Michigan State. This week, in the most recent edition of his mock draft, Dan Kadar is slightly changing his tune. This time he's got the Saints getting help on the defensive line with Missouri DE Shane Ray. Here is how Kadar defends his choice:
With the future of Junior Galette up in the air, the Saints could bring in a pass rusher who can impact the game. Ray really fires off the snap impressively and showed at Missouri this season he can finish.
Eh. I'm not yet sold on the idea of a pass rusher in the first round and Kadar isn't really making a persuasive argument with his two sentences here. I really, really, really do not want to see the Saints blow another first round draft pick on mediocre defensive talent. As of now, I think I'm still on the offensive line train.
What do you guys think?
