Has anyone ever done the Punt, Pass and Kick competition
So in a related off-season post, I stated that I was interested in getting my daughter into the PPK for this season. She will turn six this year, so she will be eligible. I don't think my wife will approve, but the way I figure it, at least she will get some exercise and maybe help dad get some bragging rights. So, what I would like to know, has anyone here ever done the PPK with their kid or know of anyone that has done it? I know I have to get her a wilson junior rubber football and that she has to use soft soled gym shoes for the competition. I don't want to put to much pressure on her, but I was thinking that it would be fun for her to do. If someone could give me some pointers or what not, I would appreciate it. Thanks

Saints Free Agency Preview: Defensive Ends
First off, a big thank you to Dave and the rest of you for offering me the opportunity to write on a regular basis here! I’m very glad to add my voice to the rest of the great staff here at CSC.
I’m going to start a free agency preview series, beginning with one of the Saints biggest weaknesses: defensive end. They currently have only four defensive ends signed to the roster for next year - Will Smith, Junior Galette, Greg Romeus and Cameron Jordan. I don’t know about you, but that does not inspire confidence in the team's ability to rush the passer, no matter who the defensive coordinator is.
Lofa Tatupu visits the Saints
I remember a number of us wanting this visit to happen when the Chickens of the Sea released him.
Will the Saints Use the Franchise Tag?
We've been discussing the contract statuses of free agents ad nauseam since the Saints boarded the team plane in San Francisco. The major topics like how much they're worth, if they'll get paid and which teams are willing to pay them have all been covered already. But rarely has the possibility of the team using the Franchise Tag been a part of those conversations.
The nonexclusive Franchise Tag got a slight overhaul in the new Collective Bargaining Agreement so for those that aren't familiar with the change or for those completely unfamiliar with the tag, here is the exact wording from the CBA:
A Little Cap Space to Carry Over
This may have been brought up in another post somewhere (or it may be common knowledge, and I'm just behind the times), but I found this pretty interesting. This is the article on the main subject, but if you click on the link within article, it shows the Saints can carry over more than 4 million to increase next year's cap. It's not the 20 million of some teams, but as we're all worried about how we're going to secure all of our free agents, every little bit helps. Makes me feel a little better about being able to retain more than just Brees.
Found on the Saints official Facebook page and Twitter account. My store appliqued the letters and numbers on these hand-knit dog sweaters for a customer last week.
