Reggie Bush and David Beckham: The Video

Here is the short-version of the heralded Reggie Bush-David Beckham Adidas commercial (watch the extended version here.) Sure, it's a bit awkward, especially seeing Beckham doing football drills, but it's always pretty cool to see two world class athletes get together and sell the shit out of some sporting goods. The highlight of the video has to be when the two collaborate on a deep post, from Beckham's foot to Reggie's hands. And watching Beckham kick field goals is always pretty special--Olindo Mare had better watch out. All in all, an entertaining few minutes, and the two look like they are genuinely having fun, though I'm guessing Reggie enjoyed making a video with Ciara a bit more.

Let's just hope that these aren't the two most famous athletes playing in Los Angeles come 2010.

In other news, the Saints released their prctice schedule. If anybody out there lives in Jackson, or plans on attending training camp, e-mail me (canalstreetchronicles@gmail.com) your photographs/observations, and I will make sure that you are credited on the front page.

Bush/Beckham

As far as I can tell this is just bad news for the Saints, first Reggie nearly breaks his ankle participating in the nba all star festivities, then he nearly lost his jimmy but stuffing it in the disease trap that is Kim Kardashian, now he's getting burnt on stop and go routes by a douchebag from England who's married to a spice girl?

If I was in charge, I'd be clamoring to see Mr. Bush practicing more wholesome pursuits, like sky diving, bungee jumping, alligator wrasslin, and Alaskan crab fishing.

and that is why

bush doesn't play defense but rather offense. He can't do everything! I wonder if that was Brees throwing that ball... I didn't get a good look.

Bad news

Getting burned one time out of ten by a fellow world class athlete on a stop-and-go route is not bad news.

Having your house raided because you're suspected of being one of the "heavyweights" in the world of dogfighting is bad news.

Also

Nice job by Adidas trying to rip off Mike & Mia, MJ is g-d, all attempts that can be even closely interpreted as immitation should be shot on site.

Mike and Mia

Wasn't that commercial a musical? Set to "Anything you can do, I can do better," if I'm not mistaken.

And didn't MJ get worked by a female a few times during that commercial?
