So Now What!?

What's better than getting Deuce McAllister back for another season after almost losing him?
Having your other star running back say he's ready to finally step it up and do what it takes, thats what! The Advocate came out with this article
about Reggie this morning.
Reggie has decided to participate more in the Saint's official off-season activities this year here in New Orleans, and spend less time doing his own thing in Los Angeles, which is what he did last year.
"It’s the right thing to do, to be here and working out with my teammates. I’m going to be here as much as possible, as much as I can. I won’t make every workout, but I’ll definitely be here for a majority of the workouts."
The article also said...
Bush said he’s scaling back his non-football-related activities to focus more on getting ready for the season, particularly "the mental aspect of the game."
I don't know whether I agree with this one. I have seen him with my own eyes at the Hornets games, both in New Orleans and in LA last week. And there was also that blurb about him hanging out in Snoop Dogg's trailer.
And what about next year Reggie?
Bush said he would like to return more punts next season. McAllister went down, Bush was rarely used as a punt returner because he had to take on greater responsibility in the running game. After returning 28 punts for an average of 7.7 yards as a rookie, he returned just three for a 4.0 average last season.
"I want to be as involved as possible," Bush said. "I know I can do it. I know I can be an every-down back. I can be a versatile back, being split out wide, returning punts and kicks. I feel like I can do whatever they want me to do, whatever they need me to do, whatever I want to do."
But although our backfield picture is more in focus, there are still questions.
Is Deuce actually going to play well?
Just because he has proven that his injury isn't too bad, it doesn't mean he will be able to play as consistent and as well as he used to.
Can Reggie and Deuce team up and form the two headed monster everyone expected last year?
Again, it comes down to what level Deuce will be able to come back and play at. This one also depends on whether Reggie will have the season we have been waiting for him to have.
Does this affect what we do in the draft?
This might mean we shouldn't even think about Matt Forte in the second round.
Feel free to voice your opinions about this one!

Who to Draft Rnd 2
If he's still available in the 2nd round I think it would be wise to take Forte. Duece is still the man but
father time
keeps counting and keeping the backfield solid should be a priority. Bring him in so he can be mentored by Duece. I would think differently if they hadn't already made as many moves defensively as they have. A good young DT can easily still be had in the third round.
