"One of the things that we do that guys who are 6-5 end up being 5-5 when they get flipped over on their head. They didn’t say that the rules says that the ground couldn’t hurt their head. So we’ve got to find ways to make the ground be a part of it."

Noted New Orleans defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has to be polishing up his drawing board this morning, figuring out what to draw on it. In the Saints' last two games, the defense has been awful. Against one struggling offensive team (Seattle, in the playoffs last year) and one superior one (Green Bay, on Thursday), here's how the Saints' defense fared in eight quarters combined:

Touchdowns allowed: 10
QB line: 49-of-70 (.700), 7 TD, 1 Int., 122.6 rating
Yards allowed: 814

"We've all got to pull together and be there for everyone that was close to him," Williams said. "We have to help each other out in these tough times."
We haven't put on the pads yet, but I can tell (Williams) has a pretty tough mindset," Young said. "He wants us to be physical, and he wants us to run to the ball because that's what causes turnovers. I hope we will be more aggressive. I can tell that guys don't want to carry on that reputation that we have a strong offense and a weak defense. We're ready to change that this season.
