Some more reading for your Thursday morning:
- This is, indeed, Joe Horn's triumphant return to New Orleans. But he's doing so without his usual aplomb:
I'm going to try to do my best and do my job as far as playing for the Atlanta Falcons, because that's my new team now. But I'm not coming back for no 'hoo-rah' and not trying to embarrass somebody and make somebody feel bad. That's not where I'm at right now
- For the LSU fans among you: This piece by Slate's Josh Levin puts a new spin on the LSU-Florida win (it's a couple of weeks old). It also puts the win in the context of John Ed Bradley's "It Never Rains in Tiger Stadium." A must-read.
- The Falcons start Byron Leftwich, a move that signifies that they're finished with this season and preparing for next season. I think if the Saints can jump in front Sunday, the Falcons will just give up.
