A Few Signs That A Jenkins Signing Might Be Imminent

I am starting to get the sneaking suspicion that talks are heating up in the Jenkins contract standoff and a deal could get done very shortly now.

Malcolm's agent, Ben Dogra of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), finally broke his silence regarding the holdout in a Times-Pic article this morning...

"Sometimes negotiations take longer than we want them to,'' Dogra said Saturday. "Hey, we want to get a deal done and they want to get a deal done. Malcolm is our last man standing. Hopefully, we'll get this resolved sooner rather than later."

Meanwhile, in Twitterville, Jenkins himself is sounding a bit happier and more positive...

Feeling refreshed and renewed... thank you Lord!!

...making me think he knows something we don't. And at the very least, we can take stock in the fact that the two sides are actually talking to one another. Vice President of Communications Greg Bensel, who doesn't tweet much, had this to say not too long ago...

Mickey still working it...

I have to believe that as long as the lines of communication remain open, a deal will inevitably get done shortly. It's only a matter of time.
