CHARLOTTE NC - NOVEMBER 07: Drew Brees #9 of the New Orleans Saints waits with his team during player introductions against the Carolina Panthers

I hope no one will be looking for lots of Saints news this week. Since Coach Payton gave everyone the bye week off to rest up and heal up for the second half of the season, there won't be many stories coming from the local media and the national media....well, it'll be as if the Saints fell off the face of the earth. Let's hope our guys get a great week of relaxation and come back well healed and rested for the Seahawks.

Don't know about the rest of you, but I'm becoming a big-time Ravens fan for this one week. We need them to beat the Dirty Birds this Thursday night. Since there will be little to report in Who Dat Nation this week, I'm gonna include some Ravens @ Falcons links for the next few days. GO RAVENS....for this one week!

The Saints are very much in the NFC South race at 6-3 and they’re heading into their bye week. That might help get running backs Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas back on the field and give some other banged-up guys a chance to rest. The Saints are off until Nov. 21 when they host Seattle.

"I know myself personally, I’m going to try to step away from it a little bit," Saints defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis said. "I think that there comes a point in the season, especially when you have a late bye week, you have to separate yourself so when you come back, you can be as attentive as you can."

RAVENS @ FALCONS:

Behind Enemy Lines: Falcons are 6-2, but how good are they? - baltimoresun.com
The good news is that the Falcons lead the NFC South and hold the best record in their conference. The better news is that they've done this much while working hard not to make the opponent feel bad about itself. On Sunday they got the fourth-down stop they needed to hold off Tampa Bay. What failed to compute was how a game so lopsided -- the Falcons had 26 first downs to the Bucs' 14 and didn't turn the ball over -- came down to a fourth-and-1 inside the final three minutes.
