Vicodin Pills Recovered

San Diego Chargers safety Kevin Ellison was arrested on Monday afternoon in Redondo Beach, CA on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after being stopped for speeding in a school zone, also a 'no-no.'

Sgt. Peter Grimm, the arresting officer, says a search of Ellison's car uncovered 100 pills of Vicodin for which he did not have a prescription. The AP article also notes that...

...even if he did, it was an unusually large amount of pills for a pharmacist to distribute.

Perhaps that's because Ellison didn't get them directly from a pharmacist? Maybe the Chargers have some sort of wacky system set up that allows anyone to just log out pills from a medicine cabinet controlled by team trainers without any real proof that distribution of said medication is actually warranted. That's too preposterous an idea, though. No NFL team would allow that to happen in their own locker room. Would they? Would they!?

Hat tip to BRSaintsfan for the find.
